Presentation :
At the crossroads of the Marne Valley and the Côte des Blancs, Champagne Mandois has been writing its history since 1735. Based in Pierry, a village classified as Premier Cru, the house is now run by the ninth generation of the family. Claude Mandois continues the legacy of his ancestors with a pioneering and visionary spirit. From the early 2000s onwards, he committed to environmentally responsible viticulture.
The conversion to organic farming began in 2017, and the 23 hectares closest to Pierry are now certified organic (AB). These parcels extend across the Côte des Blancs, the southern slopes of Épernay, and the Sézannais. The total vineyard covers 37 hectares, 70% of which are planted with Chardonnay, the emblematic grape variety that ensures the house’s independence. The finest parcels of Pinot Noir and Meunier are selected to complement
and refine the blends.
Within Champagne Mandois, the winemaking identity is expressed at every stage, from the vineyard to the cellar, with each cuvée reflecting a deep attachment to terroir and tradition. The house has chosen to widely diversify its fermentation vessels in order to preserve the authenticity of each parcel. While blending remains the art of Champagne, Claude Mandois ensures that each wine benefits from suitable vinification and ageing conditions, enhancing aromatic richness and the complementarity of the blends. In this pursuit of excellence, the house has created a new winery, designed in harmony with contemporary requirements, symbolising the link between its heritage, its present and its future.
