On Saturday 19 July, despite a slightly grey sky, there was a warmth in our hearts for our Summer Party at the Domaine de Mondeville, at the home of Delphine and Laurent Dumont. A huge thank you to them for their simple, warm and generous welcome, in a place that exudes passion and sharing.
After a tour of the estate for the first arrivals, the ACB members got together for an aperitif: gougères, homemade cakes, raised glasses and lots of laughter… the perfect way to get the day off to a good start.
Then it was on to a barbecue to remember, with tasty meat from the Thierry charcuterie and the Thorey farm, accompanied by a banquet of home-made salads and side dishes, prepared with talent by the guests.
The La Renarde cheese platter followed, with nuggets like Aveyron ewe, Taleggio, Anton… and of course our unmissable Chaource…
And finally: the desserts! A big thank you to Clair and Hugo for the magnificent cakes to mark our President’s birthday, not forgetting all the homemade sweets brought in by members. It was a delicious and emotional finale.
We finished the day with a little stroll through Delphine and Laurent’s vineyards, just to digest and prolong the pleasure a little longer.
Once again, a big thank you to everyone for a day in the image of the ACB: simple, genuine, generous and joyful. See you soon for new adventures together!
