Presentation :
Bénédicte and Emmanuel Leroy’s estate is spread out over 4 ha in Essoyes, on the Côte des Bar, in the Aube.
In 2010 they undertook conversion to organic farming and started making wine from their own harvests. Applying biodynamic principles, they were Demeter certified in 2014.
Living on an isolated farm, they launched a small activity raising livestock (cattle, horses, sheep, fowl and rabbits) to enrich their homemade compost.
To showcase each terroir, one blend is created per year from each separately vinified parcel.
To spotlight the specific personalities of each specific area (lieu-dit) the Champagnes are neither fined nor filtered, with no dosage and very little or no sulfites.
