The Association des Champagnes Biologiques (Association of Organic Champagnes) held its Ordinary General Meeting, a key moment in the life of our association, to review our actions and prepare for the future.
đ Some figures for 2025 (indicative, not consolidated â consolidation planned for June 2026):
âą đ 2,600 hectares of organic vineyards, certified or in conversion
âą đĄ 604 Champagne wine-growing structures committed to organic farming
During this meeting, we also had a presentation of the Viti RepĂšre (PNPP) project â Phase II.
đŹ In his report, JĂ©rĂŽme Bourgeois @champagne_bourgeoisdiaz reiterated the importance of the shift towards quality for the future of our Champagne AOC: âProducing less, but betterâ remains our priority more than ever. He highlighted the current economic challenges, the need to better promote organic viticulture and constant vigilance regarding authorised practices, such as copper and phosphonates, in order to protect the integrity of our industry. The ACB is also firmly opposed to any mixing of organic and conventional practices that could distort the organic label. đ±
A big thank you to our loyal Chef Otis Lebert, who, as always, provided us with a delicious organic and local meal. đœđđŒ
Thank you also to our afternoon speakers, Mr Boudarias and Mr Dargelos, for their most enriching and informative presentation, which allowed us to learn more about the physiology of the vine. đ±đđŒ
Thank you to all our members for their commitment and participation! đ
